Overview
Textbook Revolution is a Website dedicated to providing free textbooks to university and other students. In addition to textbooks, other free educational materials are posted there for use by students, teachers and professors. The state goal of TextbookRevolution is to encourage adoption of these free material and remove the burden of high-priced texts from student populations. By bringing texts together under one Website, it is hoped that searching for and adopting free material will become easier.
TextbookRevolution was developed and is maintained by students as a service to other students. It is run on a Website that is powered by MediaWiki.
Type of Material
TextbookRevolution provides links to free textbooks and select educational resources posted on a variety of other Websites. Most material is posted as PDF files or in e-book formats.
Most books are meant for undergraduates university students but resources for others, ranging from kindergarten to post-doc, are available.
