McAfee SiteAdvisor
From ElateWiki
The McAfee SiteAdvisor(R) is a free tool that adds an information button to the Web browser that shows the relative safety of a particular site based on how well the site administrators protect the site against malware. According to the McAfee SiteAdvisor site [1], this company uses an "army of computers" continuously to test various sites for pop-ups, Trojan horses, downloads, browser exploits, phishing endeavors, e-commerce vulnerabilities, online affiliations, and website annoyances. The maintenance of this record may encourage a greater sense of WWW citizenship. This software does not capture any personally identifiable information (PII) from users.
