What Kinds of Diversity?

Diversity affects a range of issues: race, ethnicity, class, age, gender, religion, and other factors of identity.

Infusing Diversity in a Curriculum

Infusing diversity into a curriculum often involves the inclusion of different points-of-view, different voices, different life experiences, and differing value systems. The ability to listen and observe, and not judge, is an important skill in the diversity toolkit. Encouraging learners to hear each other first and suspend judgment sufficiently to hear and to consider and to reflect is important.

Some Rationales for Considering Diversity in E-Learning

"Diversity" is an important approach in a multi-cultural society to create a level playing field for learning. It also helps maximize the wide range of skills that individuals bring to the learning, for enriched learning for all.

Because so much e-learning is global, gaining an international skill-set is important.
